Coming In

The Milton S. Eisenhower Library is closed for a multi-year renovation. The MSE Library Annex is open to JHU affiliates, but not other visitors.

For the most up-to-date information on public access to the library, please visit Visitor Access. Access to the Brody Learning Commons is granted to any person aged 16 or older. You must show a current, valid photo ID issued by a government agency or college/university.

  • Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Members of the public are welcome to visit and use the Brody (which includes Special Collections and the cafe), except during exams; those hours will be posted at the entrances during those times, or you may call 410-516-8335 to ask.

Computers and Internet

  • Within the library, visitors can connect their laptops to the Internet via the University's "JHGuestnet" wireless network connection. Guestnet will not provide access to the library's electronic resources.

Borrowing Privileges -- See this article for who may borrow books and how to do it.

Printing, Photocopying, Scanning -- Here are locations and other information of the printer/copier/scanners. For professional printing, please visit FedEx Kinkos or another printing store as the library has Multi-functional devises intended to help students print assignments, and may not be suitable for large or complicated print jobs for community members.
