Ask A Librarian: DC Library
Access to Johns Hopkins resources via Google Scholar
Answer
When you know of a specific article you need, but aren't sure if Johns Hopkins has access to it, you have a few options:
1. You can type / cut and paste the title in Catalyst, the JH Libraries catalog.
2. You can also use Google Scholar settings:
- Go to the Scholar Settings page and type Johns Hopkins in the "library links" field. Check the boxes next to the results and click Save.
- Then you are ready to search for your title Scholar.
- When you find what you're looking for on the results screen, click the "Find It @ JH Libraries" link. Sometimes it's visible on the right side of the results, next to the particular citation and sometimes it is hidden beneath a >> symbol below the citation.
- Find It allows you to avoid a "paywall" and login with your JHED ID to access the full text of the article.
