The Libraries Service Center (LSC) is in Laurel, MD and serves as the off-site shelving facility for the JHU libraries.

To get a book from LSC, click the "request" button in the online catalog.

  • If you're not affiliated with JHU and want to use books in the library, you can request books be delivered to the MSEL Service Desk.
  • If you’ve purchased borrowing privileges, you can request journal articles to be scanned and sent to you. Send an e-mail to lsc@jhu.edu with the book or citation information.

Deliveries occur daily. Materials are normally available for use the following day, the exception being Special Collections materials.  It may take up to two business days for Special Collections materials housed at the LSC to be available for use.
