Researchers are encouraged to make copies of Special Collections materials. Researchers are allowed to take photos via their own digital cameras, phones, or tablets. The Special Collections Reading Room is also equipped with a Book Eye scanner which allows researchers to email images or save them to a flash drive. There is no charge to use the scanner. If you are unable to visit Special Collections and need copies of materials for research or publication, please visit our webpage to find out how we can help you!
Also, note that staff reserves the right to refuse the copying of any item if such copying will either damage the material or impinge on copyright or other restrictions. In general, copies of entire books, manuscript collections or archival record groups are not made
