You have several options to obtain copies of Special Collections materials

  • take photos with your own digital camera, phone, or tablet (tripods, light set-ups, and personal scanners are not allowed)
  • use the department's Book Eye scanner (a free service; images can either saved to a flash drive or sent via email)
  • contact staff regarding copies and scans if you are unable to view the material in person

Staff reserves the right to refuse the copying of any item if such copying will either damage the material or impinge on copyright or other restrictions. In general, copies of entire books, manuscript collections or archival record groups are not made
